Microneedle Integrated Shape Memory Alloy Triggered Micropump
This project involves the design, prototyping, and optimization of a patent pending shape memory alloy triggered micropump with integrated microneedles and a polymeric nanoencapsulated drug. I characterized the pumping speed with the high speed camera imaging setup shown below. I also designed and fabricated all components in the device including the microneedles, which I designed to be 3D printed on an SLA 3D printer. Read the full publication here.
